Evening

A simple evening with those I love. Sarah came over tonight! I was hoping she would be dropped off early so that we could go to the park but shockingly.... she was delivered too late! We ran around the house, giggled and laughed. In an amazing turn of events she informed us that when she grows up she wants to be a car washer person. This truly is a leap from her morbid fear of them.

She was truly impressed that I had not only apple juice, but orange juice and milk as well! If by chance I am ever out of any one of those she informs the rest of the family (grandparents and her mom) that I have no food and am not feeding her haha.

Well back to watching Spongebob Squarepants! It is the one show that we can both watch for hours.

Ten days already...

Ten days have passed since my original entry. It seems I am in need of reminders more desperately than I thought. I have been contemplating the format with which to attempt to record these memories and as of yet still do not have a solid idea. Should I attempt to make a specific topic for each piece? Would it be better to focus it on one area or to try to assimilate all memories into one writing?

I want to first and foremost make notations and tell stories about when my youngest daughter Sarah was just a baby. The things she would do and the phrases she would attempt to say would always bring a smile to my face. As I search through the recesses of my brain now the phrases are hazy and I am desperately scrambling now to remember them. So while I search for those I will just begin with a few of the things she is saying now!

After a trip to disneyland she recently has begun saying that she Hates Whales!! Thanks a lot Pinochio ride!! Her second most hated thing... Carwashes... I don't know if there is a correlation. She is also currently in the habit of saying how many bites she has eaten for dinner in the hopes that you will be impressed and give her dessert. And every single commercial that comes on with a kids toy invokes a loud "Ohhhh I think I want that!!" if it is a girls toy and "Ohhhh I think you want that daddy" if it is a boys toy.

With my other little one only two months away I am hoping to be more regular in recording and documenting the adorable things of her life. We began reading the Great Teacher book to her at night and my lovely wife Heather says she gets all crazy and hyper inside when we start to read. Speaking of amazing, I can not say enough how impressed I am with just how incredible of a woman I have married. I love her more and more everyday and thank god each occasion for such a wondrous blessing.

The present is awesome and the future is bright and full of good things to come!

Introduction of Purpose

02/10/2009

To begin I feel I must state the purpose of this blog as many others seem to be compelled to do. This blog is in no way shape or form a glorious testament to my accomplishments or achievements, nor is it to voice my opinions on any pressing matter behind the anonymity of a computer screen. No, quite simply this blog came about because I began to realize that I am forgetting the little things that hold high value. The milestones of life that exist in each of our paths make us who we are however as time goes by we may look back and forget the finer points of the trip.

Consider this a pro-active stand against the forgetfulness of humans, a pre-emptive strike against what sadly overtakes us all in the blur of the constant rat race. This is my attempt at establishing an anchor of purpose to this blog so that it does not digress into a meandering of thoughts as often happens inside my own mind. Enjoy!
